Party Line: Opening our Doors to You

The new year is just around the corner, and with it brings a new year of challenges and opportunities for retailers. Party & Paper is looking forward to helping you kick it off right with our Annual Trends list. In it, we highlight the trends to look out for in 2014.
 
We also are happy to present the Party Product Licensing List—one of the most requested features from our publication.
 
This annual feature includes a list of the licenses held by each manufacturer for balloons, partyware, stationery, tableware, giftware, party favors — anything party — and is a great resource to reference throughout the year.
 
In addition to the Licensing List, we also present to you our first-ever Costume Survey results. We sent out a survey to subscribers to gather the most up-to-date information regarding retail costume sales and presented it in the story. Many of you replied, and my hope is that seeing what works (and what doesn’t) for your peers will prove to be useful and informative.
 
You may have noticed the absence of The Store Room, where we ask retailers questions about issues facing them every day. While it’s not in this issue, we’re looking forward to bringing more retailer voices back into our pages next month.
 
For 2014, we’ll be revitalizing the pages of the magazine and introducing new features to bring even more retailer responses into each issue. We continue to hear from readers that that is what they want to read, and we plan to deliver. But, we can’t do it alone. We need you, our readers, to participate. We want to know what you want to see in our pages.
