Peer Perspective: Virginia Thomas, Ann Page

How did you come up with the name for Ann Page? Ann Page is a combination of my middle name “Page” and my best friend from college, Dara’s middle name “Ann”.  I knew I wanted it to be 2 words and something short and catchy.

How did you develop your line and various collections? I started printing personalized notecards for people out of my spare bedroom. Then it turned into notepads, into napkins, cups and bags and it just kept going from there.

From koozies to ornaments and journals, your product line is expansive. What new products do you have coming out that we can see in the next year?  We really like coming out with new products for our customers. It keeps us relevant and it keeps our stores interested because they know we always have something up our sleeve. In the future we will be doing more items in neoprene and even further expanding our greeting card collection.

Tell me about your collaboration with Gift For Life. I was introduced to Gift for Life by Dylan Schauben, who is a good friend of mine, and has a real passion for the organization. He encouraged me to team up with GFL and I am so glad that I did. A percentage of sales from (4) specialty greeting cards will go to Gift For Life. Being at the Gala in NYC in February was a true honor as it is an organization that does so much to help others.

Why is contributing to its cause so important to you? I like contributing to causes that truly help people and I was honored to be asked to design cards that would return funds to GFL.
