Paper First Affiliates
has announced that they have added a new position and new team member to the PFA Staff.
The new position of executive buyer is designed to pursue resources that would focus on strengthening PFA’s merchandising position, product programs and vendor relationships, thus continuing to secure PFA’s relevance, growth, and success within the industry.
Sue Jereczek, executive director of PFA, said the executive buyer will take on many roles and work closely alongside the executive director, PFA board members and United Buying Group Steering Committee.
“After several months of searching for the right candidate, we would like to welcome Mike Drabick to our team, in this newly created role,” Jereczek said. “He has worked in the party industry for the last 18 years.”
Drabick joined Party America in 1996, worked through the Party America/Party City acquisition (2007) and continued working for Party City as an Ecommerce divisional merchandise manager until being recently appointed by PFA.
“He brings many years of seasonal and everyday party goods buying experience, direct import and product development knowledge, planogram creation skills and even website and ecommerce merchandising,” Jereczek said. “And to top it off, he has been at the field level as a store manager and district manager, which provides that much needed understanding from a store perspective.”
Drabick began his involvement in July and is based out of PFA’s corporate office in Walnut Creek, California. For more information, visit www. partystores.com.
