Party Club of America members, vendors enjoy ‘great’ conference and trade show in New Orleans

Party Club of America’s members are well known Super Retailers, and their (buying) powers were on display last month in New Orleans. The group held its 14th Annual Members’ Conference and Trade Show Jan. 10-11, 2018, and the exhibitors and attendees are thrilled with the results.

“The PCA show was great this past year in New Orleans,” said Allen Scarsella of Mayflower. “It’s a great venue for members and vendors to interface, do business, and relax and get to know each other. We really enjoy doing this show and can’t wait to do it again in 2019.”

Artie Savarese of Rubie’s echoed Scarsella’s thoughts: “The PCA format is a great opportunity to meet and greet PCA members and strategize about their respective store for the upcoming season. The camaraderie and the exchange of information are constant throughout the event between the members as well as vendors.”

The event, which PCA held in conjunction with the 2018 Halloween & Party Expo, brought together the Halloween and party industry’s top vendors and retailers for a two-day trade show, which utilized a “speed dating” model. Before the trade-show portion of the event opened, PCA members and staff met to discuss their direct-import program.

“We pride ourselves on the operational efficiency and the flexibility of our Halloween, seasonal, and everyday D.I. programs,” said Andy Richman, PCA’s Executive Director. “We ship on-time, and offer a myriad of shipping solutions so that all of our members, including brick-and-mortar retailers, e-commerce only retailers, retailers using Amazon’s platforms, and members based outside the U.S.A., can take advantage of the considerable cost savings our programs offer.”

After the meeting, the members enjoyed lunch with the exhibitors, and then started the trade show.
