New survey finds average American will spend $185 on Halloween, led by candy
LendEDU conducted a survey on how much Americans will spend on Halloween this year, and it’s not chump change.
According to the recent survey, LendEDU’s findings concluded the average American is going to spend $185.50 on Halloween, up about 9 percent from a similar survey done last year.
The top expenditure won’t costumes or decorations, but candy at $76.05. Yes, more than 75 bucks on candy, and that’s the estimated average. Costumes are next in line at $66.78, followed by decorations at $42.67.
LendEDU’s survey, conducted by Pollfish, included 1,000 people and was done at the end of September.
