Your 2019 Halloween & Party Expo wrapup

The 2019 Halloween & Party Expo was a global showcase for new products and trends! Co-located with HAuNTcon: The Haunted Attraction National Tradeshow & Convention for the second year in a row, the Halloween & Party Expo continues to be North America’s ONLY and largest event dedicated to the Halloween, Haunt, Party and Celebration industries. Our team, the Halloween & Costume Association, our exhibitors and sponsors hope you had the chance to learn, source new products, network with your peers and have fun! In case you missed seeing any of the events, take a look at some of this year’s highlights.

Thousands of new products

The Show Floor featured thousands of new product launches and show specials. This year the show featured an expanded product category selection based on buyer feedback with everything from costumes and accessories, to makeup, novelties, toys and gifts, party products, props and décor, business services and more!

 

New Friday night fashion show

New this year was the combined Friday Night Fashion Show that took place on the Haunted Trends Main Stage. More than 40 Halloween & Party Expo and HAuNTcon vendors came together to showcase their newest looks on the Main Stage. Exhibitors had the chance to model and debut their own products from costumes & accessoriesand makeup to the backdrop of Froggy’s Fog. This event was rounded off with $5,000 in giveaways, entertainment,cocktails and networking.

 

Artist Battleground

The Halloween & Party Expo held its second annual Artist Battleground Makeup Competition on the Haunted Trends Main Stage. Artists had 4 hours to completely transform their models into this year’s surprise theme, Urban Legends. Competitors included Alcone Company, Moon Creations and Woochie by Cinema Secrets, with judges Nick Wolfe of Evil Twin FX and Kyle Vest of Prince of Fear. Jeff West of Woochie by Cinema Secrets took home the trophy for the second consecutive year.

 

Brewing, Boos and Booze Costume Ball

The Brewing Boos and Booze Annual Costume Ball was the largest party to date bringing together retailers, attractions and leading suppliers from both the Halloween & Party Expo and HAuNTcon. Hundreds of exhibitors and attendees came together to celebrate the industry at the iconic Generations Hall. The night was full of dancing, networking and celebration.

 

New Product showcase

Both Halloween & Party Expo and HAuNTcon exhibitors had the opportunity to showcase their newest releases and hottest products for the upcoming season in the New Product Showcase. After a buyer vote, Pumpkin Pulp took home the top spot for the second consecutive year followed by Rubie’s Pet Shop Boutique and Sweet Midnight.

 

Retail roundtables and panel discussions

This year’s retailer education was designed to meet retailers’ business needs and help solve their biggest challenges for the upcoming season. Panel discussions topics ranged from Retail & Tech: Realistic Technologies Every Merchant Should Know About to Help Their Business Thrive to Retaining Customers, Increasing Sales & Strengthening Brand Loyalty: Expert Insight On How Your Store Can Accomplish That. Plus, an exclusive Industry expert panel moderated by Philip Hernandez of Gantom Lighting & Controls discussed Successful Creative Brainstorming: Lead Your Team to Better Ideas sponsored by Patron Technology. Retail roundtables were also held each day that encouraged peer to-peer networking.
