An online petition to permanently move Halloween from Oct. 31 to the final Saturday of October is gaining steam. The petition, on the platform Change.org, currently has more than 27,000 signatures, most of which have been made within the past few days. According to the recent survey, LendEDU’s findings concluded the average American is going to spend $185.50 on Halloween, up about 9 percent from a similar survey done last year.
